What Nonstop is Looking For:

Nonstop Administration and Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking a Client Accounting Analyst responsible for overseeing fiduciary/client facing financial processes, including premium and reserve reconciliations, broker payments, and trust account activity. This role ensures accuracy and compliance in managing client and carrier transactions, handling complex reconciliations, and maintaining audit ready records. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of fiduciary and insurance-related accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure the integrity of all fiduciary-related financial operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter all client carrier invoices into BILL by client ID and set up corresponding carrier payments for approval.
  • Calculate, track, and process monthly broker payments, and distribute over 100 broker statements via email.
  • Manage ACH setup and maintenance for both carriers and brokers.
  • Prepare and import the daily client claims check report.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of all client claims checks, including voids and reissues, and collaborate with internal departments to resolve member reimbursement issues.
  • Import member check payments to the accounting system accurately and promptly.
  • Work with the Supervisor of Client Billing & AR to process, approve, and record client termination billings.
  • Manage and execute the escheatment process in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Reconcile the 400+ fiduciary bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and reconcile client reserve balances.
  • Prepare and reconcile client accounts by ID in the accounting system.
  • Record clients return of reserve transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare the monthly reconciliation of the contract asset in alignment with revenue recognition policies.
  • Record Captive claims on a quarterly basis.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new systems to streamline fiduciary processes.
  • Support the annual financial audit, including documentation and process explanations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior VP of Finance and Accounting Manager.
Requirements

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong audit knowledge and a solid understanding of accounting functions (insurance and fiduciary-related).
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and support operational tasks as needed.
  • Proficient in Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Remote position involves regular collaboration across departments via video conferencing, phone, email and messaging platforms
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting and consistent use of a computer and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to travel occasionally for team meetings, trainings, and/or company events
