What We’re Looking For
The Implementation Manager will lead the onboarding process of new VPL customers and will act as the liaison between Sales, Account Management, Finance, Product, the customer, and their third-party vendors. The person filling this role must be able to demonstrate strong project management and customer relationship management skills as you will be responsible for delivering an excellent experience for new customers as they are implemented on our products and solutions. You will be expected to collaborate with stakeholders across departments and from all levels of the customer and VPL organizations to collect data, documents, and specifications that ensure each implementation meets the specific needs of the customer. This will require knowing how solutions can be customized and consulting with the customer to configure and launch a solution that helps them achieve their business objectives. You will establish project timelines and ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently and with high quality. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement and maturation of VPL’s implementation processes. This position is open to candidates located in the United States, except for California, Washington, Oregon, New York, and Colorado.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the liaison between Sales, Account Management, Finance, Product, the customer, and the customer’s third-party vendors during the implementation process
- Manage relationships and expectations with internal and external project stakeholders, fostering mechanisms to keep all informed of progress, issues, and risks
- Work and communicate confidently across all levels of both the customer and the VPL organizations Produce and execute the agreed upon implementation plan
- Manage the cross functional implementation team members and maintain accountability for on-time, high-quality delivery
- Drive the day-to-day coordination of the project efforts while adhering to standards and sponsor expectations to manage the timeline, scope, and requirements to meet the project expectations
- Leverage problem-solving, critical thinking and independent thinking skills to overcome challenges, manage risks, and resolve issues that threaten the project.
- Provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders
- Document best practices and embrace continuous improvement methodologies
- Facilitate customer or third-party interactions in person and/or via video conference
- Expedite the resolution of customer and project issues to maximize client satisfaction
- Manage internal strategic projects, as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- A confident and outgoing personality
- A bachelor’s degree or prior work-related experience equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience managing customer projects and/or implementations, specifically with web-based software products; experience with software integration (e.g., API, Webhook, FHIR, etc.) and EDI projects, desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaboration
- Success working independently and within a team environment
- The ability to learn and assimilate new information quickly
- Flexibility to adjust to dynamic work environment and ability to contribute to a growing team
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work within fixed deadlines
- The ability to foster trusting and consultative customer relationships and influence decisions towards customer value
- Attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, excellent follow through, and reliability
- The ability to engage with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds
- Comfort using web-based software tools like Jira and Salesforce
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications
