Who We’re Looking For

​VPL is looking for a Business Development Manager that will play a key role in driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and closing deals. This position is responsible for prospecting, selling, and supporting the administrative aspects of all deals, ensuring a seamless process from lead generation to deal completion. With national coverage, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in sales and business development. This role will require travel 25% of the time.

What You'll Do

· Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, cold calling, networking, and leveraging industry contacts to build a robust pipeline of potential clients across the United States.

· Selling: Present and pitch company products/services to prospective clients, tailoring solutions to meet their needs, negotiating terms, and closing deals to achieve revenue targets.

· Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients

· Administrative Support: Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, and other deal-related documentation; coordinate with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to ensure smooth execution and compliance of all agreements.

· Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to refine strategies and identify untapped opportunities.

· Reporting: Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and deal progress to leadership, providing insights to inform business decisions.

· Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts and maximize deal potential

What You'll Bring

· Professional, enthusiastic and friendly phone and in person presence

· Four-year college degree

· 3-5 years’ sales related experience, preferably in a B2B environment

· Demonstrated ability to own the full sales process from prospect to close

· Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets

· Proven ability to sell SaaS products

· Preferred experience with hospital and health system sales

· Preferred experience with logistics and supply chain sales

· Ability and willingness to be self-sufficient

· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to think quickly during conversations to address prospect’s questions/concerns

· Confident, nicely persistent attitude that focuses on achieving goals

· Willing to support the team in any way to help achieve company goals

· Ability to adapt to the changing demands of a very fast-growing company, including being flexible in your thinking and approach to achieving goals
