Job Description

  • Chief of Staff for Brooklyn, NY location.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO, executive team, and cross-functional leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, streamline processes, and enhance communication.
  • Serve as a sounding board for the CEO to advise on strategic trade-offs, translate high-level vision into actionable plans and drive execution.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including tracking and monitoring KPIs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify process improvements, streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and improve profitability.
  • Lead and coordinate high priority strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables and identify opportunities to accelerate projects as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CEO and other departments to expand the CEO’s bandwidth.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication.
  • Prepare executive communications, presentations, and reports such as materials for leadership meetings, town halls, Q&A sessions and Board meetings.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making related to product, operations and finance.
  • Screen potential acquisitions and identify pros and cons of moving forward to acquire high priority targets.
  • Conduct research, analyze trends, and present recommendations.
  • Assist in long-term planning, annual goal setting, and budgeting and monitor progress toward strategic objectives.
  • Technical environment: capital structures, returns, and mergers and acquisitions in private equity; large capital expenditures (assessing markets, value drivers, building investment cases); negotiation (acquisition targets, sellers/investors); leading due diligence across financial, legal and operational workstreams; Board-level communication; coordination with consultants for market/competitive research; project management; forecasting; budgeting; investor communication; business case analysis; operations management.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field plus 2 years of leadership/management experience in tech startups required.
  • Required skills: capital structures, returns, and mergers and acquisitions in private equity; large capital expenditures (assessing markets, value drivers, building investment cases); negotiation (acquisition targets, sellers/investors); leading due diligence across financial, legal and operational workstreams; Board-level communication; coordination with consultants for market/competitive research; project management; forecasting; budgeting; investor communication; business case analysis; operations management.
  • Some telecommuting permitted.

Salary Range: $150,000/yr - $200,000/yr.
