We are seeking a Full Time Assessment Nurse. The Assessment nurse will work very closely with the Anesthesia team to determine necessary clearances depending on the patient health history.

This position will require initial training at Piedmont Surgery Center.

Once trained, the position will be fully remote.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered South Carolina state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current BLS/ACLS certification.
• Minimum of two (2) years medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Previous ASC experience in ophthalmology is a plus.
• Must enjoy a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

• Requires excellent communication skills and technical abilities with our integrated EHR system.
• Familiar with basic computer hardware components such as monitors and routers.
• Understand the guidelines related to patient confidentiality as well as surgeon specific guidelines regarding the surgical procedure.
• Time management is critical to ensure all duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Critical thinking and problem solving are also essential skills .
