Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Accounting & Financial Analyst to join our Finance, Data, and Accounting team. In this role, you will support both accounting and financial analysis functions, including assisting with month-end close tasks, financial reporting, forecasting, and data analysis. You’ll work closely with management to ensure excellence and efficiency in our financial processes.
As an Associate Accountant/Financial Analyst at TurboTenant, you will:
Drive Financial Excellence: Play a key role in crafting accurate financial reports and insightful analyses, ensuring we meet and exceed our financial goals. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures our financial reporting and investor presentations are spot-on.
Be a Key Player in Financial Close: Take an active role in shaping our financial landscape by assisting with the month-end close process and the production of detailed financial statements. You’ll expertly synthesize data from various sources to provide accurate partner revenue reports, review and code transactions with precision, and ensure meticulous categorization of expenses. Additionally, you’ll contribute to managing accounting schedules for prepaids, fixed assets, and revenue, ensuring every detail aligns seamlessly with our financial strategy.
Shape Financial Strategy: You’ll assist with refining and improving our financial model by integrating the latest data and insights. You'll play a key role in modeling out new product lines and expenses, providing essential information that guides our strategic decisions.
Improve Accounting Processes: Dive into the intricacies of accounting, from transaction reviews and expense categorization to maintaining vendor records and processing payments. Your proactive approach will drive continuous improvements in our accounting practices.
Be a Collaborative Team Player: Contribute to our success by working closely with team members across departments, sharing your insights, and supporting collective goals. You'll have opportunities to grow professionally while actively participating in projects that drive our strategic initiatives, helping to shape our team’s achievements and future direction.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- High attention to detail and accuracy in your work.

- Ability to turn financial results into a story.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and their application across the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Familiarity with basic accounting functions such as journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger management.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (Index Match, Pivot Tables, SumIf, Vlookup, If, Producing Graphs).
- Quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills.
- Familiarity with or a desire to learn about the startup innovation ecosystem.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to address both financial and non-financial issues across the business.
- Data analysis skills and the desire to learn SQL.
- Curiosity and a positive attitude.
- A degree in accounting, finance, economics, or data science.
- At least six months of relevant work experience. Relevant work experience can include audit, corporate accounting, corporate finance, investment/corporate/commercial banking, or other finance/accounting/data analytics roles.
TurboTenant has offices in Fort Collins and Denver, Colorado. Face-to-face time is an essential aspect of the TurboTenant culture, and the ideal candidate for this role would be expected in the Fort Collins or Denver office once a week (more if preferred).

Compensation range for this position is $62,000 - $68,000 + equity. The actual compensation offered will be based on experience.
