The Scrum Master II is responsible for supporting the agile scrum practices, remove impediments, and provide agile expertise for multiple teams. In addition, they should provide strategic planning support and tactical execution management, agile release planning across multiple teams and clients, process and tool design and support, and resource management administration.
Responsibilities:
- Support multiple teams of different maturity level as a hands-on Scrum Master
- Leads Scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
- Regularly monitor Team and Program Delivery and Maturity Metrics, and interpret the information into actionable improvements
- Mentors other Scrum Masters and actively introduces process improvement opportunities
- Leads scrum teams in self-organization
- Facilitates ceremonies such as Sprint Retrospective
- Teaches Scrum teams how to run effective Scrum ceremonies and Release Planning
- Helps teams track and remove impediments
- Fosters the culture of technical discipline
- Leads effective impediments management process across all teams
- Helps scrum team achieve higher levels of performance
- Coaches the product owner in keeping a healthy backlog
- Ensures Sprint goals and release goals are clearly defined and communicated
- Manages cross organization dependencies
- Demonstrates ability to mentor team members in various areas of Agile and serve as an Agile proponent throughout organization
- Help facilitate and improve the Portfolio and Project Management processes
- Fosters an environment of collaboration and growth
- Organizational Champion for Agile and lean practices
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience and/or training
- Previous experience working as a Scrum Master with multiple scrum teams across different products simultaneously required
- Scrum Master Certification required
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly
- Ability to pay attention to details without losing sight of the big picture
- Energetic, able to build and sustain long-term relationships across a multitude of stakeholders in a fast paced, multi-national work environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present, persuade and influence peers
- Self-starter and motivated to learn and succeed
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Must be a creative and critical thinker that continuously initiates process improvements
