It is imperative that Suvoda staff working with clients, end-users, or the systems that client and end-users interact with understand the clinical trial industry, regulations, Suvoda’s software products and processes, and especially the specificities of the unique trial in question before taking any actions they may alter the data of the system in question.
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II role is a hands-on position that requires some experience with software testing and quality assurance methodologies. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II will create test cases and supporting testing documentation, execute test plans/test cases and log and manage defects. This role will ensure software quality assurance procedures are used to verify software requirements across a vast array of integrated products.
Responsibilities:
- Learn the product and conduct software testing using quality assurance methodologies;
- Performs testing on the application including backend, API testing;
- Create test cases and supporting testing documentation;
- Execute test plans/test cases and log and manage defects;
- Actively applies testing best practices;
- Adheres to SDLC processes and procedures;
- Logs defects in a concise and descriptive manner in the appropriate tracking system;
- Communicates testing progress and can work with the scrum team;
- Adheres to Agile processes in daily work;
- Participates in all Agile ceremonies;
- Participates in production deployment testing when needed;
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and/or training preferred;
- Critical thinking skills and problem solver;
- Possess a want-to-learn attitude with the ability to learn quickly;
- Ability to question and get clarity to create comprehensive testing plans and test cases;
- Understands and applies test case writing best practices;
- Takes the initiative to find new ways to improve work, process, procedures or to help themselves;
- Ability to communicate work activities to relevant members of the team including lead and manager in an effective and concise manner;
- Ability to verbalize concerns, issues, questions in the Agile setting;
- Ability to assess timelines and provide estimates on SQA work;
- Understands, clarifies, and asks questions requirements when needed;
- Understands tasks at hand and can prioritize work;
- Ability to pivot and adapt to change;
- Must be a team player;
- Self-organizing and self-sufficient;
- Excellent time management and organization skills;
- Experience executing tests and capturing evidence required;
- Experience with software testing tools such as qTest preferred;
- Experience working on an Agile team preferred;
- Experience properly creating documents preferred.
