It is imperative that Suvoda staff working with clients, end-users, or the systems that client and end-users interact with understand the clinical trial industry, regulations, Suvoda’s software products and processes, and especially the specificities of the unique trial in question before taking any actions they may alter the data of the system in question.

The Senior Manager, Software Quality Assurance will provide general supervision and technical guidance to the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) staff in the analysis, design, testing, and deployment of all Suvoda applications. The Senior Manager, Software Quality Assurance maintains ultimate responsibility for assuring that all products are defect free and compliant with technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of the Suvoda product software quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development;
  • Directly supervises Software Quality Assurance Testers and Test Leads including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities;
  • Manages department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources;
  • Responsible for creating tasks and checklists for software quality assurance process for software deployment;
  • Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments;
  • Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing ;
  • Experience in developing and managing quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams;
  • Must have experience in process development and tool evaluation;
  • Implements ongoing software quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams;
  • Lead efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient;
  • Develop, write and manage the execution of an overall software test strategy;
  • Experience in identifying gaps and implementing process and metrics to improve Quality;
  • Oversee the design and implementation of software validation procedures, test plans, and test cases;
  • Implementation of software testing automation and deployment tools;

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience and/or training;
  • Minimum of 8 years of software quality assurance experience, to include 2 – 5 years in a lead role or management position;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics and tools such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria;
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must;
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner;
  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability;
  • Strong understanding of different agile software development methodologies and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools;
  • Must have experience in managing and working with distributed team members;
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication ;
  • Experience is SaaS based platforms.
