What Should You Expect?
Responsibilities:
- Interface with Department Leaders on matters related to Talent and Culture to ensure Suvoda hires, promotes, develops and retains top talent. This includes;
- Providing feedback to T&C leaders on what’s working and what’s not in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Providing recommendations and solutions on what Talent & Culture initiatives are most important to prioritize
- Developing workforce and succession plans
- Acting as the champion of Suvoda’s organizational culture, and developing strategies to build and maintain the positive culture
- Develop a deep understanding of the business, of departmental goal and of how those goals relate to overall corporate strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the assigned department or business unit and serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters, including:
- Hosting regular meetings and check-in with assigned departments and business units to define goals, address issues, and understand challenges.
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, including managing documentation and communication, conducting investigations and making recommendations to senior management.
- Coaching managers and individual employees on a variety of topics, including but not limited to performance issues, career development, team dynamics, leadership, interpersonal conflict, morale and retention.
- Participating in and monitoring training programs to ensure success, and follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Coordinating the administration of organizational initiatives including performance reviews, annual goal-setting conversations, etc.
- Design and implement department score cards to better assess the data and trends within the department of business unit, particularly in the areas of:
-Hiring and offer acceptance
-Retention and turnover
-Engagement and inclusivity
-Departmental goals
Other responsibilities include:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal and local legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
- Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Assist with managing junior and mid-level members of the Talent & Culture team, ensuring high engagement and performance.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or similar field . Skilled in coaching, mentoring and mitigating challenging employee issues, including performance improvement plans and terminations
- At least 7 years of progressive HR experience in a high growth company
- Comfortable presenting to small and large groups
- Articulate and clear communication skills
- Comfortable in fast-paced and dynamic environment and with balancing multiple priorities
- Naturally curious, an analytical-thinker, and a resourceful problem-solver
- A self-starter who is comfortable managing uncertainty and ambiguity
