Suvoda is a leading e-healthcare company dedicated to leveraging data to drive business insights and decisions. We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us build robust data systems for our data lake and data warehouse infrastructure.

Job Description:

The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data feeds and transformations to consolidate data into our data lake and data warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, particularly star and snowflake schemas, and experience with cloud ELT systems and data technologies, especially within the AWS ecosystem. Additionally, data science skills are a plus, enabling the candidate to support advanced analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources into the data lake and data warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using cloud-based tools and technologies, primarily in AWS.
  • Design and optimize star and snowflake schemas to support efficient querying and reporting.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Document data processes, pipeline architecture, and data flow diagrams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • over 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including star and snowflake schemas.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based ELT systems and data technologies, especially within the AWS ecosystem (e.g., AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Data science skills and familiarity with machine learning concepts are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
  • Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
