Job Description:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) oversees clinical care and operations within our residential support services. This role ensures high‑quality, compliant, person‑centered healthcare delivery, supervises direct support and care staff (including CNAs and DSPs), participates in care planning and assessment, and promotes continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision in a residential environment
- Ensure the health, safety, dignity, and rights of individuals served
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, mobility, and daily routines
- Prepare and cook meals according to client dietary needs and personal preferences
- Implement Individual Service Plans (ISP), behavior support plans, and care plans
- Use approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when needed
- Administer or assist with medications according to training and organizational policy (if applicable)
- Accurately complete daily documentation, shift notes, and incident reports
- Immediately report incidents, injuries, medication errors, or safety concerns
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid, CARF, HIPAA, DBHDD, and state regulations
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families
- Participate in required trainings, meetings, and supervision
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience, including supervision or leadership in residential, community health, or long‑term care settings.
- Proficient in clinical documentation systems and computer use.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be 18 or older with reliable transportation and ability to work required hours.
- Ability to pass state/federal background checks, drug screening, and compliance checks.
Experience
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or similar populations.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Leadership, training, or clinical education certifications.
- Familiarity with CARF standards and DBHDD programs
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Preferred Experience: RBT
Shifts: 7am-7pm and or 7pm-7am
Work Location: In-Person
