Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

Location: Wright Direction Family Services (Ridgeland)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join our growing organization. This is a fast-paced environment that supports clinical and administrative teams dedicated to providing high-quality care for children and adults. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Human Resources or a related field and the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily HR operations in a fast-paced behavioral health setting
  • Assist with recruitment efforts including posting jobs, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies
  • Process background checks, verifications, and required documentation
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
  • Track and monitor employee training, certifications, and licensure requirements
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance reviews

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in healthcare or behavioral health is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

Compensation:

  • $18.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
