Position Summary

The Staging Technician is a key member of the Stratix Mobile Integration Center (MIC), responsible for staging, configuring, testing, and preparing customer devices across multiple projects. Working closely with Project Leads, Supervisors, and the Operations Manager, this role ensures devices are completed accurately and according to customer requirements and project timelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Success in this position requires a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting daily production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unpack, inspect, and verify devices for shipping damage or dead-on-arrival (DOA) issues.
  • Configure and stage customer devices according to project requirements and deployment specifications.
  • Charge primary and spare batteries to ensure an optimal out-of-box user experience.
  • Load customer-provided wireless settings, network configurations, and IP information.
  • Install, update, and configure software applications as required.
  • Configure device power settings to maximize performance and battery longevity based on customer needs.
  • Upgrade device firmware and apply required patches and updates.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure devices are fully operational and deployment ready.
  • Communicate device or system performance issues to Project Leads and Supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient workstation.
  • Support production goals while meeting project deadlines and quality expectations.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a staging, production, systems support, or related technical environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a retail, technical support, or Help Desk environment.
  • Working knowledge of hardware, peripherals, device support, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Coachable with the ability to accept feedback and follow direction.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of Stratix employees, from technicians to senior leadership.

Work Environment:

This position is based in Dallas, TX, and requires candidates to work onsite 5 days per week. Candidates should be local to the area as this is not a remote position.
