Supplier Performance Specialist

Position overview:
The Supplier Performance Specialist serves as a vital member of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Team. This role will be to work closely with suppliers for our client program to assist them with meeting compliance standards such as on-time delivery (OTD), order confirmation and advance shipping notice (ASN) completion. This role is critical to ensuring that suppliers meet the customer expectations for performance in fulfilling orders and providing full visibility to order status at all times so that customer maintenance work orders can be scheduled and completed to meet their timelines. This is a mission critical role that requires excellent communication, time management and collaboration skills. The right candidate must have outstanding customer service skills, be able to work collaboratively with suppliers and be solution oriented with the ability to understand the performance data analytics to create action plans for improvement. This is a fully remote role.
A typical day in the life of a Supplier Performance Specialist:
- Review supplier compliance data and understand the key factors impacting operations.
- Implement supplier performance improvement plans to bring suppliers into compliance.
- Conduct supplier meetings and coaching sessions to assist suppliers in understanding the process requirements for OTD, order confirmation and ASN.
- Serve as the first point of contact for suppliers with questions about their performance, utilizing Five9 and Oracle Service Cloud to field requests for assistance.
- Track the progress over time of performance to agreed-upon improvement plans for key suppliers.
- Conduct root cause analysis on issues affecting supplier compliance to determine if process changes, analytics measuring adjustments or other steps should be taken to improve the overall supplier compliance program.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and the Purchasing and Parts teams when issues arise causing operational delays such as supplier non-responsiveness to requests for quotes and order information.
- Assist Purchasing with the re-sourcing efforts for backordered and past due items by meeting with key supplier contacts who can drive performance of their internal teams to improve lead times and responsiveness to SDI Purchasing agents.
- Assist Purchasing with match exception process escalations to ensure supplier responsiveness in resolving issues.
- Maintain effective cross-functional communications via regular daily, weekly, monthly meetings, calls and e-mail.
- Identify and coordinate implementation of continuous improvement opportunities for department.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Some holiday and weekend coverage will be required throughout the year.
The skills you’ll contribute to our diverse team:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience. 2 - 4 years of experience in the Procurement and/or Supplier Performance field.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required, including the use of v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Must be a motivated self-starter with an exceptional sense of urgency, follow up and drive to get things done right the first time every time.
- Strong systems acumen; knowledge of Peoplesoft ERP software and MS Office software preferred.

The pay range for the role is $40,000 - $50,000 annually. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
