About Soltis Investment Advisors

Soltis Investment Advisors is a private-equity-backed Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) headquartered in St. George, Utah. We serve high-net-worth individuals and families with comprehensive wealth management, and we are in active growth mode through both organic expansion and acquisitions. Our finance team operates at the intersection of operational accounting, M&A integration, and PE-grade financial reporting.

Position Summary

We are hiring an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant—title and compensation will depend on experience—to own the month-end and quarter-end close process and serve as the backbone of our accounting function. This role reports to the VP of Finance and works within a finance team led by a CFO who is a CPA with deep US GAAP expertise. You will receive technical guidance and mentorship, but we need someone who can run close independently, get the details right, and produce clean, reliable financials without hand-holding.

This is a hands-on, close-the-books, reconcile-the-accounts, own-the-GL position. If you thrive on precision, take pride in a clean trial balance, and want to be the person the CFO trusts to have the numbers locked before anyone asks, this is your role.

What You Will Own

• Full ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close across multiple legal entities

• General ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

• Intercompany accounting and eliminations across the Soltis entity structure

• Revenue recognition for AUM-based advisory fees, quarterly billing cycles, and revenue share waterfalls

• Payroll accounting entries, benefits accruals, and bonus accrual reconciliations

• Fixed asset tracking, capitalized interest, and lease accounting (ASC 842)

• Debt accounting, including term loan amortization schedules, interest accruals, SOFR-based rate calculations, and covenant compliance tracking

• Acquisition accounting and purchase price allocation entries for newly acquired RIAs

• Post-acquisition billing transition and client fee reconciliation

• Sage Intacct administration and ongoing ERP optimization (we are mid-implementation, migrating from QuickBooks Online)

• Support for external audit, tax preparation, and regulatory filings

• Monthly close packages and supporting schedules for PE sponsor reporting

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with real-world experience closing books in a corporate or industry setting. Hands-on close ownership is what matters most.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or industry accounting, with hands-on responsibility for month-end close

• Sage Intacct experience — this is non-negotiable. We are mid-implementation and need someone who knows the platform

• Strong US GAAP technical foundation, particularly in revenue recognition, lease accounting, and consolidations

• Multi-entity accounting experience — comfortable with intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting

• Advanced Excel proficiency — pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, conditional formulas, data validation. You should be able to build a reconciliation workbook from scratch

• Detail-oriented to a fault — you catch the $12 variance that everyone else ignores because you know it matters

• Proactive problem-solver — you anticipate questions before they are asked, identify issues before they surface in review, and take responsibility for finding the right answers

Strongly Preferred

• CPA or CPA-eligible — valued but not required if you have the depth of experience

• Acquisition accounting experience — purchase price allocation, earnout accounting, post-close true-ups

• Private equity portfolio company experience — you understand the reporting cadence, EBITDA adjustments, and board-level expectations

• ERP implementation or migration experience — particularly QBO to Sage Intacct or similar mid-market ERP transitions

• RIA or financial services industry background — familiarity with AUM-based billing, custodian fee reporting, and regulatory considerations

• Comfort with AI tools — we are an AI-forward finance team. You do not need to be an expert, but you should be curious, willing to learn, and open to using AI to accelerate your workflow

• Experience working on a lean team — this is not a large corporate accounting department. You will touch AR, AP, GL, payroll entries, reconciliations, and executive reporting. Versatility matters

What This Role Is Not

To set expectations clearly:

• This is a core accounting role focused on close ownership. Candidates should have direct experience managing a month-end close process in industry.

• This is not a financial planning or analysis role. FP&A is covered by the VP of Finance. This role is core accounting.

• This is not a passive, check-the-box position. We are a growing, PE-backed company in the middle of an ERP migration with an active acquisition pipeline. You will be building and improving processes, not just maintaining them.

Why Soltis

• Direct access to senior finance leadership — you will work closely with a VP of Finance and CFO who can mentor and support your technical development

• Growth trajectory — as Soltis continues to acquire and integrate RIAs, this role will grow in scope and responsibility

• Modern finance stack — Sage Intacct, Ramp, Datarails, Orion Connect, and AI-augmented workflows

• Flexible location — remote candidates welcome nationwide; local candidates in Salt Lake City enjoy a hybrid schedule

• Competitive compensation — competitive base salary plus bonus opportunity and benefits, commensurate with experience and the position

• PE-backed stability with entrepreneurial energy — the resources of institutional backing with the pace and impact of a growing firm
