Salute is a leader in providing state-of-the-art data center infrastructure services, dedicated to serving data center customers globally. We pride ourselves on offering long-lasting solutions, unmatched reliability, and exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to join our team and strengthen our relationships with our hyperscale customers.

Job Summary

With the organization’s global expansion and regional EMEA goals in mind, the Country Manager will be responsible for establishing, leading, and managing all operational activities within the assigned country. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight to ensure delivery excellence, commercial success, and regulatory compliance in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to supporting new business development efforts, you will assume full accountability for day-to-day operations within the country. Your leadership will be instrumental in setting up local teams, building organizational capability, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

You will be responsible for the following core areas:

  • P&L & Financial Management
Oversee country-level revenue generation, financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost management to meet or exceed profitability targets.
  • Operational Excellence
Ensure seamless service delivery, performance metrics, and operational workflows are established and maintained at high standards.
  • Client & Stakeholder Leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs and develop client briefs. Work with other stakeholders, including government entities, partners and internal teams.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Management
Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing regional team. Drive engagement, succession planning, and professional development.
  • Strategic Planning & Market Expansion
Shape and implement the company’s growth strategy in country, identify market opportunities, and support new site launches or service line expansion. Ensure company products and services are tailored to the specific needs of the local market. Increase country specific revenue and market share.
  • Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all operations comply with local regulations, global standards, and company policies—including HSSE, cybersecurity, data protection, and quality management.

Although support from central functions such as Finance, HR, and Legal will be provided, you will be expected to independently engage with, own and manage all in-country operational responsibilities.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a data center, infrastructure, technology, or facilities-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and operational frameworks
  • Demonstrated success in managing P&L, building teams, and delivering complex services at scale
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and senior executives
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, results-oriented leadership style
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (License) degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or regional related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 8–10 years of operational leadership experience, ideally with international exposure
  • Experience in the data center, real estate, or mission-critical services sector highly desirable
  • Fluent in local language and English; additional languages relevant to the region are preferred.

The role is a full-time position, and your base salary will be commensurate with experience but is expected to be highly competitive. The opportunity is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands and will include business travel as needed to meet business demands.
