Cleaning Technician

Salute is searching for a Data Center Cleaning Technician that will work in our Cleaning Division performing preventative and general cleaning in a Data Center environment. Technicians are trained to work on several fronts. Technicians are responsible for cleaning and maintaining all types of data center surfaces – including equipment, cable ducts, ceilings, walls, floors, subfloors, dependent on Client Scope of Work expectations. Technicians are experienced in using proper cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment to properly care for all sensitive surfaces in our customers' data center.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 5:00am – 3:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Annual or Quarterly Data Hall subfloor/surface/crevice cleaning using approved equipment, attachments, and methodologies.
  • Scrub floor tile surfaces to client expectations.
  • Damp mop floor to client expectations.
  • Wall and horizontal surface wipe down to client expectations using approved equipment, attachments, and methodologies.
  • Clean surfaces up to 25 feet, including conduits and other fixtures.
  • Clean overhead cable trays using approved equipment, attachments, and methodologies.
  • Wipe down exteriors of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Spot clean equipment and fixtures.
  • Cosmetic cleaning tasks per client SOW.
  • Particulate testing.
  • Trash and recyclable disposal.
  • General janitorial functions that might include spill cleanup, common area cleaning and sanitization, office area dusting, or floor seal/wax.

Additional Accountabilities

  • Accurate and timely documentation of 100% checklist requirements in Field Service
  • Accurate and timely submission of timesheet documentation in Field Service
  • Accurate and timely submission of Task Hazard Assessments in Field Service
  • Accurate and timely submission of Incident Reports in Field Service
  • Fulfillment of 100% contractual expectations as defined within Client SOW
  • Fulfillment of 100% of revenue expectations as defined within Client SOW
  • Completion of 100% required Talent LMS based Safety Training courses as assigned
  • 100% adherence to Salute Mission Critical safety standards and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform general custodial/cleaning practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work at different heights and surfaces.
  • Ability to work with arms above shoulders less than 25% of the time.
  • Ability to use mobile application technology.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks.
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly.
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently within various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors.
  • Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses.
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables.
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety of temperature inside a facility.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow.
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to submit to a full criminal background check, the results of which may or may not bar employment, following applicable state and federal laws.
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, with which results will be interpreted and applied to an employment eligibility determination following applicable state and federal laws.
