As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

SUMMARY

This position is accountable for the maintenance and upkeep of the physical grounds as well as all machinery and associated non-critical equipment. Working with the Commercial Property Manager (CPM), you will ensure the facilities, and its associated non-critical equipment, are always well maintained. The facility maintenance coordinator also notifies the commercial property manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operations. This position reports to the Commercial Property Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • At least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in building maintenance and/or custodial services preferred.
  • General construction knowledge and ability preferred.
  • Identifies, completes, and tracks periodic maintenance on non-critical equipment such as lawn mowers, vehicles, UTVs, and other associated equipment as needed.
  • Must have the ability to use and operate snow blowers, lawn mowers, and basic hand and power tools.
  • Perform building manager duties of the associated maintenance building assigned to this position.
  • Must display the ability to interact with clients on an appropriate, professional level.
  • May need to be available early morning, late night, or on weekends as emergencies, snow removal, or other urgent needs arise.
  • Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for associated duties.
  • Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including the application of spot cleaning treatment.
  • Gathers and empties trash.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Must have general building operations knowledge.
  • Must be available and willing to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays, and respond to emergency calls as needed.
  • Good observation skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Candidate must demonstrate and have people skills, good judgment, and flexibility.
  • The qualified candidate will be able to work cooperatively with internal administration groups, and effectively relate with customers and contractors to reach mutually acceptable terms and conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lifting requirements are intermediate and may be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 – 75 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to frequently stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Travel

Limited travel may be required in this position – typically < less than 5% annually.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years working in general building maintenance and operations.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass appropriate background checks.

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Work Order Ticketing Systems

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must be willing to submit to a full criminal background check, the results of which may or may not bar employment, following applicable state and federal laws.
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, with which results will be interpreted and applied to an employment eligibility determination following applicable state and federal laws.

If this position is assigned to work outside of the U.S., a candidate must be eligible to meet all requirements for foreign national employees in other assigned countries.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
  • Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required

Site Location: We operate a 24-hour facility where work hours (shifts) are assigned as needed to ensure job functions are performed satisfactorily, compliance is maintained, and the company operates efficiently. Certain positions, as specified in your offer letter, may require working irregular hours, such as nights, weekends, overtime, alternating shifts, and under various conditions, including outdoor work during extreme weather or in hazardous environments.
