As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Support Engineer to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Sales Support Engineer:

The Sales Support Engineer plays a critical role in supporting Salute's Account Executives and Sales team by developing proposals that vary in scale and scope—from small technical projects to multi-million dollar RFP deliverables. This role is less customer-facing and more focused on internal collaboration and technical, proposal & CRM support. Sales Support Engineers must possess a strong understanding of costing, pricing, margin, burden, and various pricing strategies to support the diverse services offered by Salute.

Schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm depending on time zone

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and submit professional proposals with detailed service descriptions, pricing, and accurate formatting.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Sales team members to support quoting and proposal efforts.
  • Work with Operations teams to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and delivery capabilities.
  • Maintain prospect and forecast data using Salute’s CRM platform.
  • Respond to edits and updates on proposals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Stay informed on service lines, pricing policies, and strategic pricing approaches.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of insides sales preferred
  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • Inside Sales experience (supporting sales teams or clients with quotes) preferred but not required.
  • Robust experience with Salesforce preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Proposal/RFP response tools (e.g., Responsive) preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the data center or similar mission critical industry required.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies including margin, burden, and costing.
  • Ability to adapt to different service line requests and project scopes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

The role is a full-time position, and your base salary will be commensurate with experience but is expected to be highly competitive. The opportunity is remote and will include business travel as needed to meet business demands.
