Project Manager:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee operations within a mission-critical data center environment. This role will serve as the primary client-facing representative, ensuring customer satisfaction, contract adherence, and operational excellence. The Project Manager will also focus on the professional development of Team Leads, fostering leadership growth, accountability, and collaboration within the team. While this position supports data center operations, the majority of responsibilities will involve administrative, leadership, and client relationship management functions.
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring consistent communication, alignment of goals, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead regular client meetings to review performance, KPIs, and project updates.
- Address escalations promptly and implement corrective actions to maintain client trust and confidence.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and coach Team Leads to strengthen their leadership skills and decision-making abilities.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with Team Leads to review progress, provide feedback, and set development goals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and integrity across the team.
- Assist in workforce planning, including scheduling, task delegation, and succession planning.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure that all team activities align with client expectations, contractual requirements, and company standards.
- Oversee Team Leads in monitoring site operations, safety compliance, and day-to-day team management.
- Support cross-training initiatives to reduce knowledge silos and promote operational resilience.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting of site activities, staffing levels, and performance metrics.
- Develop and present monthly or quarterly business reviews for the client and internal leadership.
- Manage documentation of policies, standard operating procedures, and escalation processes.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Projects
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Support rollout of company-wide initiatives within the data center environment.
- Coordinate with leadership on long-term planning and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years in project management or leadership roles, preferably in data center, facilities management, or mission-critical environments. 1.5+ years of mechanical experience.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to mentor and develop supervisors or Team Leads.
- Client-Facing Skills: Strong background in customer service, relationship management, and conflict resolution.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data center operations and facility systems preferred, though direct technical responsibilities are minimal.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both client-facing and internal team interactions.
- Organization: Strong administrative and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Certifications: PMP or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
Additional Information:
Location: Papillion, NE
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm Full-time, primarily business hours with flexibility for occasional client meetings or escalations.
Work Environment: Office-based within a data center environment with periodic floor walks.
Travel: Limited, depending on client or project needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
- Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently within various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
- Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
- Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
- Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
- Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
- Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
