OBMG – a Salute company – is a rapidly growing team specializing in complete Data Centre Commissioning Management services across Europe and beyond.
We are focused, highly proficient and motivated - delivering Data Centre Projects from 1MW to 100MW+, concurrent and fault tolerant facilities, new green field sites to working in Live and Operational Facilities.
As the Commissioning & Project Lead you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, systems and facilities are installed, tested and commissioned in line with the project design requirements and local regulations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Carry out the role of a Lead/Senior CxA (Commissioning Agent) / CxM (Commissioning manager) on mission critical projects; this shall include but not be limited to the following roles:
- Leading technical design and commissioning workshops
- Chair daily meetings with GC/Client depending on CxA/CxM role within project
- Chair high-level client commissioning meetings and issue weekly commissioning reports
- Site attendances, FAT, SAT, & IST attendances, investigative surveys and all other off- site attendances expected as a commissioning engineer within the organisation
- Assist with ongoing company recruitment needs.
- Technical submittal review and approval
- Lead and manage a supporting team through Cx Activities.
- Manage time and resources on projects.
- Lead where required Root Cause Analysis investigations and reporting
- Lead in the development, management & execution of L1, L2 & L3 scripts.
- Lead in the development, management & execution of L4/L5 scripts.
- Ability to execute and understand L1-L5 commissioning.
- L1-L5 Cx script sign off and approval to incl. documentation reviews.
- Manage Cx issues throughout the project timeline on the commissioning management software
- Ability to raise and close out IRL issues including P1/High Priority issues.
- Develop load bank plans, commissioning plans and Cx trackers as required.
- Perform design reviews.
- RCA (Root cause analysis) / Problem solving and trouble shooting.
- Ability to adhere to the responsibilities outlined in the project contract
- Upon completion development of project Executive Summaries and full project data transfer
Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree level 8 or higher
- Working mechanical knowledge of Chilled Water, HVAC & BMS Systems
- Working electrical knowledge of UPS, Generators, PDU & Busbars systems.
- Extensive background as a Commissioning Agent/Manager within the Data Centre industry
- Experience in project and equipment design review
- Experience in client interfacing and report generation
- Experience in QAQC issue generation, reporting and closeout
- Experience in commissioning script development
- Fluency in written & spoken English
- EU passport (preferred)
- Drivers License
You may need to work unsociable hours around project deadlines or if a client’s site is in continual operation. You’ll also need to travel to sites, some of which could be remote or difficult to access, and you may need to stay away from home.
