OBMG – a Salute company – is a rapidly growing team specializing in complete Data Centre Commissioning Management services across Europe and beyond.
We are focused, highly proficient and motivated - delivering Data Centre Projects from 1MW to 100MW+, concurrent and fault tolerant facilities, new green field sites to working in Live and Operational Facilities.
Summary
As part of the commissioning team you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, systems and facilities are installed, tested and commissioned in line with the project design requirements and local regulations
Tasks and responsibilities
You will carry out the normal functions described for the position of Commissioning Engineer; this shall include but not be limited to the following roles:
- Mechanical or Electrical Commissioning Engineer within the company and all typical roles associated with this position.
- Carry out design review and sign off.
- Attend and represent OBMG/Salute at all levels.
- Site attendances, FAT, SAT, & IST attendances, investigative surveys and all other off- site attendances expected as a commissioning engineer within the organisation.
- Carry Out all CxA and Cx management duties under the OBMG/Salute scope.
- Develop OBMG/Salute Commissioning and quality documents.
- Assist with company development.
- Commissioning Management duties – this will include overseas travel.
- QAQC duties – this will include overseas travel.
- Testing and commissioning of equipment on site
- Making improvements to, and offering advice about, operational and commissioning procedures
- Creating and implementing test procedures including script writing and development for Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning.
- Assist, Execute and should role dictate Lead Level 1-5 Commissioning
- Assist, Execute and should role dictate Post Seasonal Commissioning
- Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults.
- Supporting Root Cause Analysis investigations and reporting.
- Chair and manage commissioning, IRL, and QAQC meetings/workshops should onsite role dictate
- Continued Professional Development with the aim of achieving Chartered Engineer Status.
- Report writing to include updates on commissioning, IRL, QAQC, Cx Programme
- Develop Commissioning schedules and trackers
- Technical submittal review and approval
- Assist with ongoing company recruitment needs.
Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree level 8 or higher
- Working mechanical knowledge of Chilled Water, HVAC & BMS Systems
- Working electrical knowledge of UPS, Generators, PDU & Busbars systems.
- Experience in project and equipment design review
- Experience in client interfacing and report generation
- Experience in QAQC issue generation, reporting and closeout
- Experience in commissioning script development
- Fluency in written & spoken English
- EU passport (preferred)
- Drivers License
You may need to work unsociable hours around project deadlines or if a client’s site is in continual operation. You’ll also need to travel to sites, some of which could be remote or difficult to access, and you may need to stay away from home.
