Security Manager

A leading provider of data center infrastructure services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Security Manager to oversee security operations and support high-performance client environments. This role is responsible for leading on-site security operations, coordinating with client stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with established security standards, operational procedures, and reporting requirements.

The Security Manager serves as the primary operational security lead, ensuring consistent execution of policies, timely escalation of incidents, and continuous improvement of security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all security operations, staffing, and daily security activities
  • Coordinate directly with client leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage incident escalation, documentation, and operational reporting
  • Enforce security policies, procedures, and post orders
  • Drive continuous improvement of security operations and practices
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to identify and mitigate safety and security risks
  • Observe, document, and report suspicious or unusual activity
  • Control access points to ensure only authorized personnel entry
  • Manage traffic flow at access points to support uninterrupted operations
  • Maintain accurate access logs and security records
  • Monitor surveillance systems during off-hours as required
  • Communicate security issues, updates, and policy changes to relevant teams
  • Train new security personnel on systems, procedures, patrols, and customer service standards
  • Ensure adherence to all organizational and client security requirements
  • Support daily tasking, reporting, and operational activities
  • Oversee security officers and support performance management in accordance with company policy

Additional Accountabilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all logs and reports
  • Ensure timely submission of timesheets and administrative requirements
  • Meet contractual service expectations as defined in the scope of work
  • Complete required training and compliance programs
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices
  • Follow client security and privacy requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent training/experience
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English
  • Experience in customer service or operational support roles
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
  • Basic CPR/AED/First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Valid security license or certification as required by applicable regulations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs to access equipment areas
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach during duties
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Visual acuity (with or without correction) for detail-oriented tasks
  • Ability to distinguish color-coded indicators and labels
  • Ability to work in varied indoor environmental conditions and temperature ranges
  • Ability to work in high-noise environments with appropriate protective equipment
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for job-related travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in security operations within technical or critical environments
  • Experience in structured facility or infrastructure security programs
  • Familiarity with access control and surveillance systems
  • Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure

The base salary range for this role is $70,000–$75,000 per year. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
