Security Manager
The Security Manager will provide comprehensive oversight, leadership, and operational control of the site’s security program. This role serves as the primary client interface, ensuring full alignment with security policies, operational standards, incident escalation protocols, and reporting requirements, while maintaining strict adherence to SOC 2 and ISO standards. The Security Manager will drive accountability, consistency, and high-performance execution across all security operations. The Security Manager must be able to adapt to changing priorities of the Client and of Salute Leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all physical security operations, including access control, surveillance, guarding, and incident response
• Oversee daily security activities, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed and continuously improved
• Design and implement security programs aligned with organizational goals and client requirements
• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and site audits; implement corrective actions as needed
• Manage and optimize access control systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and other security technologies
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and local authorities to ensure seamless security operations
• Tailor and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), post orders, and emergency response plans
• Lead incident management, including investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company security requirements
• Manage security vendors and guard force operations, including performance, staffing, and training
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for all security personnel
• Plan and conduct drills for emergency preparation (e.g., fire, active threat, evacuation)
• Maintain detailed documentation, reporting, and metrics on security performance and incidents
• Support business continuity and crisis management planning
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years Security leadership experience
- Valid Texas DPS Guard Card
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in security, construction, or data center environments preferred
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Advance computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and reporting systems)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain and active construction areas
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs as needed
- Ability to respond quickly to incidents and emergencies
Work Environment
- Remote site in Afton, TX with limited nearby services
- Active construction environment with heavy equipment and ongoing operations
- Outdoor work in extreme weather conditions and in an office setting
- Uneven terrain requiring mobility and situational awareness
- Strict adherence to PPE requirements is always mandatory within designated construction zones and while operating site vehicles including UTVs

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
The base salary range for this role is $70,000–$78,000 per year. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
