WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Product Manager, Data & Analytics is responsible for defining and driving the company’s unified data strategy across APIs, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities. This role will establish the vision, standards, and prioritization framework for how data is surfaced, integrated, and monetized across the product portfolio.

Partnering closely with Data Services and API engineering teams, Product Owners, and customer stakeholders, this individual will translate market needs into scalable data capabilities that enhance product value, support regulatory compliance, and enable strategic growth within the clinical trials ecosystem.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Strategic Ownership

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Data Services, including APIs, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Establish clear product boundaries between standard reporting, configurable analytics, data extracts, and API-based integrations.
  • Develop and formalize a unified data strategy across the product portfolio.

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Engage directly with customers (clinical research sites, sponsors, CROs) to understand reporting, integration, and analytics needs.
  • Serve as a thought leader in data strategy within the clinical trials ecosystem.
  • Represent the company in executive customer discussions, webinars, and industry conferences.

Product Leadership & Execution

  • Define high-level initiatives, epics, and priorities for Data Services and API engineering teams.
  • Partner with Product Owners to translate strategic initiatives into detailed backlog items and user stories.
  • Ensure alignment between data capabilities and overall product and platform strategy.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure data solutions align with regulatory requirements, including Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR, and global data privacy regulations.
  • Establish standards for data integrity, auditability, and traceability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Customer Success, and Sales.
  • Supportthe go-to-market strategy for data-related capabilities.
  • Define monetization approaches where applicable (e.g., premium analytics, API tiers).

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

  • 5–10+ years of Product Management experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience owning APIs, reporting, analytics, or data platform products.
  • Proven ability to define product strategy and translate it into executable roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, data modeling concepts, integrations, and BI frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including executive-level interactions.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

WHAT SETS YOU APART?

  • Experience in clinical trials, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR, or global privacy frameworks.
  • Experience with data warehouse, ETL, and BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience defining API monetization strategies.
  • Prior experience launching data platforms or standing up new data services teams.
  • MBA or advanced degree.

The pay rate is commensurate with experience and is determined on an individual basis after an interview has occurred.
