Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) at Equifax is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that internal and external services meet or exceed reliability and performance expectations while adhering to Equifax engineering principles.

What You’ll Do
- Operate in a DevSecOps environment to build and maintain large-scale, fault-tolerant systems that power Equifax’s data decisions.
- Partner with Dev and Ops teams to engineer cost-effective systems targeting 99.9% + uptime.
- Create tools and scripts for auto-remediation of incidents and establish end-to-end observability (monitoring/alerting).
- Build reusable IaC patterns using Terraform and Cloud SDKs, ensuring every line of code meets Equifax security standards.
- Act as a first responder within a global "follow the sun" model, ensuring seamless incident and problem management.
- BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field
- 2–5 years of professional experience in technical roles (Software Engineering or Systems Admin) with a focus on automation
- Proven experience with Terraform and at least one configuration management tool (Ansible or Chef).
- 1+ years of hands-on experience administering environments in a public cloud (GCP or AWS preferred).
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Go, Bash, or Java.
- Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Active Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Deep understanding of Jenkins or Harness for automated deployment pipelines.
- Ability to explain how a single change in a microservice impacts the broader Equifax ecosystem.
- Strong verbal and written English skills to collaborate with global stakeholders in the US/UK.
