JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer I

DEPARTMENT: Quality assurance

REPORTS TO: Lead QA Engineer

SUMMARY: Plans, directs, and coordinates preparation and implementation programs to ensure compliance with company’s quality processes and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze Functional requirements and specifications.
  • Functional testing of the system.
  • Develop and execute Test Plans for Functionality testing of application requirements.
  • Identify & document test scenarios, regression testing, and negative testing.
  • Document and follow up on defect resolution using TFS to maintain records of testing defects.
  • Create and execute Functional and Usability test cases.
  • Identifies tests that are good candidates for automation.
  • Sanity testing of core requirements to ensure project have been successfully deployed to new environments and is error free.
  • Regression Testing, to verify all functionality on all channels.
  • Document the development testing process and provide regular updates to leads and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Work with support team to investigate bugs reported by clients, reproduce and document each reported error and prioritize the required fix.
  • Be Involved directly on cases with customers in order to give a more promptly solution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in related field.
  • Two to four years related experience.
  • 2 years of Q.A. Tester experience in testing on multiple platforms and devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to details.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Automation experience using Selenium IDE/RC/ Web Driver
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team.
