ROLE OVERVIEW
The HR People Partner is an embedded, strategic partner to the WennSoft leadership team, responsible for aligning People practices with business priorities. This role supports leaders through growth, organizational change, and capability development as WennSoft continues its transition from legacy solutions to cloud‑based offerings and expands its use of AI‑enabled tools and processes within the Omegro portfolio.
The People Partner balances hands‑on HR execution with proactive advisory support, ensuring consistent, compliant, and high‑quality People practices while enabling leaders to build engaged, high‑performing teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Unit Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and leadership team on People‑related decisions
Translate Omegro portfolio People frameworks into practical, business‑appropriate execution for WennSoft
Support workforce planning and organizational design as the business scales from approximately 40 to 50 employees
Talent, Performance & Leadership Support
Partner with leaders on hiring plans, onboarding effectiveness, and role clarity for priority positions
Support performance management, goal‑setting, calibration, and development conversations
Coach managers to improve consistency, confidence, and effectiveness in people leadership
Culture, Engagement & Change
Champion company values and support leaders through organizational change related to cloud migration and AI adoption
Drive employee engagement initiatives and help leaders act on feedback and survey results
Serve as a stabilizing presence during periods of growth or change, ensuring clear communication and follow‑through
Employee Relations & HR Operations
Manage and resolve employee relations matters, including conducting fair, objective investigations when required
Provide guidance on HR policies, employment practices, and compliance in partnership with portfolio HR
Ensure People processes are executed consistently and in line with Omegro and legal requirements
Insights, Tools & Continuous Improvement
Use HR metrics such as engagement, retention, and time‑to‑hire to provide actionable insights to leaders
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, tools, and manager experience
Leverage AI responsibly to support analysis, content drafting, and efficiency, while retaining human judgment for all people decisions
EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES
5+ years’ experience in an HR Business Partner, People Partner, or similar role
Experience supporting a growing technology or SaaS business, ideally with distributed or hybrid teams
Strong business acumen and ability to connect People initiatives to operational outcomes
Proven experience supporting managers through change, performance conversations, and employee relations matters
Comfortable operating within a portfolio structure while remaining embedded in a single business unit
Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS preferred
Infrequent travel may be required to US HQ in New Berlin WI, or to Portfolio meetings/events
