The Quality Assurance Automation Team:

The Quality Assurance Automation Team plays a vital role in our software development lifecycle, ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and processes.

The Opportunity:

Joining the Quality Assurance Automation Team at JWX presents an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the digital video landscape. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge testing strategies and frameworks, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our software products. With a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will have the chance to collaborate with a team of talented QA Automation Engineers, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and maintain the overarching testing strategy for the company's software products, integrating industry best practices and emerging technologies into the testing strategy.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.
  • Be involved in the development and execution of automated test suites, validating software functionality, performance and UX.
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices in test automation development.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize QA processes, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency through automation
  • Keep up to date on technologies related to the areas of focus;
  • Provide accurate project estimates for assigned tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated testing for client-side applications and improve release management practices.
  • Work closely with product management, development teams, and other stakeholders to align testing activities with business objectives and project timelines.
  • Communicate testing progress, findings, and recommendations through reports, presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Be a liaison between QA, development, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure product quality.

Requirements for the role:

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing test automation frameworks and automated tests
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, etc.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, or related programming languages for test automation development.
  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills
  • Attention to details, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of REST protocols and API testing;

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack.
