Role: Lead Warehouse Associate
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Location: El Cajon, CA

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting the operations of the Distribution Center in the areas of receiving, stocking, packing, and shipping of products. May oversee the driver fleet to facilitate accurate and on-time deliveries of outbound freight. Also responsible for providing training, day-to-day leadership, and direction to DC team members to meet and exceed KPI’s and safety standards, while adhering to the company’s core values.
When you are not directly acting as the Warehouse Lead, you will work with the Warehouse team to continue to meet customer needs by picking, packing, shipping, loading, and unloading trucks.

What Will You Do
- Analyze incoming and outgoing orders to determine the most efficient and effective way to organize items for shipment or unload, within the Distribution Center’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Support daily warehouse operations, providing guidance and coaching to warehouse associates to ensure productivity and adherence to procedures
- Manage and process customer orders daily to meet expectations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
- Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures, including hazardous materials, and complete all necessary documentation
- Assist in ensuring inventory is stored correctly and efficiently managed
- Collaborate with your team to provide a great working experience, addressing issues as they arise and promoting teamwork
What you will bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of experience in a stockroom or warehouse setting, with some prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Forklift certification is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held
- Proficiency with computers and scanning equipment preferred; knowledge of FedEx and UPS shipping programs is a plus
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong desire to work as part of a team, with the ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Understanding of OSHA requirements and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work efficiently within deadlines
Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Must be proficient to operate a forklift, clamp devise, pallet jack, overhead crane devise and maintain OSHA forklift certification
- Frequently lift and carry packages weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Walk up and down stairs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently bend and stoop to pick up packages
- Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment
- The role primarily requires prolonged standing and continuous movement throughout the work shift
- Employees are required to wear steel-toed safety shoes and other personal protective equipment as needed
- This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, which may be hot or cold at times depending on the season
