Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise optical staff.
  • Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Create a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently provided.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture among staff.
  • Set and achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to drive business growth.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage optical product inventory, including frames, lenses, and accessories.
  • Monitor stock levels, reorder products, and conduct regular inventory audits.
  • Oversee the provision of optical services, including eye exams, fittings, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotional activities and advertising campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the store's visibility in the local community.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of service and product quality.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
  • Provide updates to senior management on the store's overall performance.

Requirements
  • Valid and active Driver’s License.
  • Previous experience managing multi-site optical dispensaries and overseeing optical inventory operations preferred.
  • Proven ability to establish, monitor, and achieve operational and budgetary goals.
  • Familiarity with managed vision care contracting, billing, and claims adjudication preferred.
  • Experience with NextGen EHR/PM systems is preferred, but not required.
  • State Opticianry licensure is not required but is highly desirable.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, both personally and through effective leadership of optical staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism in patient and team interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative team attitude, enthusiasm, and adaptability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software applications, with strong attention to accuracy and efficiency.
