**$1,500 Sign-On Bonus for Experienced Ophthalmic Technicians - Paid out in 3 installments at 3, 6, and 12 months** Must have at least 1 year of experience.
Under the supervision of the clinical manager, the IOL Calculation Specialist is responsible for assuring that all lenses are ordered according to their measurements in a timely manner for our surgery patients, and post-operative data is entered for analysis. Overtime may be required. Must be willing to travel to our different clinic locations if needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Record information in the EMS system
- Accuracy of lens calculations sheets and selection of lenses as well as back up lenses
- Assist in diagnostic testing as needed for surgical measurements (A-scans ,OCT, Pentacam ,any diagnostic testing necessary to calculate)
- Knowledge of lens calculation formulas used (Barrett, SRKT, Hoffer Q, Holladay, Haigis, ASCRS & Haigis-L)
- Knowledge of different lens implant types ( Accomodative, Toric , Multifocal, Monovision, Monofocal)
- Knowledge of LRI’s/OCCI’s/Astigmatic corrections/with the rule and against the rule astigmatism – LRI/OCCI/TORIC web-based calculators
- Knowledge of Prior refractive lens patients
- Knowledge and Measuring Axial length
- Assessing corneal shape
- Ability to check standard deviations
- Ability to read the IOL Master & AccuSonic measurements
- Review of OCT testing
- Knowledge and accuracy with ORA/Callisto entry and exporting of patient data
- Quarterly Outcome analysis reports
- Training the back-up IOL specialist
- Other related duties as assigned
