  • Optimize and prepare web assets (images, SVGs) and write descriptive alt text for accessibility
  • Follow established workflows for staging to production deployments
  • Perform routine site maintenance tasks including content updates, link checks, and basic troubleshooting
  • Test pages across browsers and devices to ensure responsive behavior and functionality
  • Follow QA checklists to identify and report bugs or layout issues for resolution
  • Maintain organized ticket tracking with clear status updates and completion notes
  • Apply basic Web Vitals concepts (LCP/CLS/INP) with guidance from the Website Manager
  • Implement accessibility best practices including semantic markup, heading structure, and keyboard navigation
  • Assist with form embedding (Marketo, contact forms) using established component patterns
  • Support basic Google Tag Manager and analytics tracking implementation
  • Follow and help refine Standard Operating Procedures for common tasks
  • Document steps for new processes and contribute to knowledge base maintenance
  • Participate in weekly team check-ins and provide updates on project progress
  • Escalate technical issues and questions to the Website Manager appropriately

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of web development experience with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress, including Gutenberg block editor and basic theme customization.
  • Understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Basic knowledge of web accessibility standards and semantic markup.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and staging/production workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in code and visual output.
  • Good written communication skills and ability to follow detailed procedures.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and improve technical skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with GenerateBlocks Pro or similar page builder tools.
  • Familiarity with WP Engine or similar managed WordPress hosting.
