Staff Accountant Needed
Celero Commerce is seeking a driven and detail-focused Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting accurate financial reporting, assisting with month-end close, and helping ensure the organization’s financial operations run smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
- Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to collect and evaluate financial data that supports reporting and business decisions
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity for accuracy and completeness
- Develop recurring reports and schedules to aid in financial analysis
- Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external partners in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with applicable regulations
- Provide support to Senior Accountants, leadership, and related functions (including AP and AR) on projects and ad hoc requests
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to greater efficiency and accuracy
- Leverage accounting systems and tools to manage and track financial data effectively
- Assist with additional accounting responsibilities as needed across the team
Experience & Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience in an accounting or finance-related role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
- Experience using accounting software and Excel for analysis and reporting
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Clear and effective communication skills for working across teams
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, think critically, and contribute to business-impacting solutions
- A strong sense of ownership and commitment to acting in the best financial interest of the organization
