Celero Commerce is seeking an Activations Specialist to deliver exceptional support and training to our merchants as they onboard our payment processing solutions. The Activations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the end-to-end activation of new merchant accounts. This role ensures accurate setup, timely onboarding, and a seamless transition from approval to live processing. The ideal candidate combines operational discipline, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills to drive efficient activations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist new merchant relationships with installation and training for their new processing solution(s)

  • Configure and validate gateway settings, terminal parameters, and processing profiles as required.
  • Conduct outbound merchant outreach to confirm setup details and readiness.
  • Ensure SLAs activation are consistently met.
  • Escalate configuration discrepancies or risk concerns appropriately.
  • Be able to validate account configuration, pricing, processor setup, and compliance documentation.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety and data security standards

Experience & Requirements

  • 2+ years previous professional experience in merchant services, preferably in a technical role
  • Familiarity with payment processing platforms, gateways, and terminal deployment.
  • Ability to discuss best practices for accepting credit cards
  • High attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Experience working within ticketing or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, IRIS, Zendesk)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with processor platforms (e.g., TSYS, Fiserv, Elavon, etc.).
  • Understanding of PCI compliance
  • Basic understanding of payment integrations and APIs
  • Comfortable working under and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
  • Team-player attitude
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure but also maintain a sense of urgency when appropriate
  • Demonstrate dependability, reliability, and responsibility
  • Read, speak, and write English

Reports to: Director of Operations
Start date: Immediate
Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
