Finance Analyst II

The Finance Analyst II is responsible for consolidating and analyzing budgets and income statement forecasts. The Finance Analyst II performs analysis of actual results at corporate and division levels, providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance of a company.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of financials including budget, forecasting, and planning
- Analyze, manipulate, and manage large data sets to uncover insights and support decision-making
- Monthly financial review including related month-end close duties
- Works closely with business unit executives to review financial trends and KPIs
- Compile & analyze monthly departmental expenses vs budget
- Conduct Gross Margin Analysis
- Conduct Price-Volume-Mix (PVM) Analysis
- Conduct Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) & marketing spend analysis
- Conduct Customer Retention/Attrition/Churn Analysis
- Participate in Budget Management & Analysis:
- Construct, update, re-forecast, detailed budget
- Assist with Lender (LBO) Modeling
- Run payroll analysis & execution of companywide staffing plan
- Research financial issues and overall trend analysis on sales performance and margin review
- Establish financial process improvements and support best practice initiatives
- Complete additional ad-hoc analysis projects as assigned
- Build "What-If" analyses as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Desire to learn and grow in a dynamic finance environment.
- Advanced Power Point skills to build presentations
- Power BI experience is preferred
Reports to: VP of FP&A
Start date: Immediate
Employment type: Full-time; Exempt
Location: Onsite in Brentwood, TN
Salary: $75,000-$85,000
