About the Job
We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable PRN Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support within a Health Center setting on an as-needed basis.
In this role, you’ll assist providers with patient care, support day-to-day clinic operations, and help create a seamless and welcoming patient experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility, works well independently, and thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, and comfortable adapting to changing clinic and staffing needs.
What You’ll Do
Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
Measure and document vital signs, patient history, and clinical information
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and urine samples
Support front office and administrative clinic functions as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and workflows
Deliver concierge-level customer service and compassionate patient care
Exercise sound clinical judgment within scope of role
Provide coverage support based on clinic and staffing needs
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current BLS Certification required

One of the following qualifications:
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program with diploma/certificate and at least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience obtained through on-the-job training
Relevant military medic experience
Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills
Phlebotomy experience preferred
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment
Flexibility to support varying clinic schedules and staffing needs
