Our Medical Assistants play a vital role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and patient-focused experience while supporting providers in delivering exceptional care. This role offers the opportunity to support a variety of patient populations and occupational health services, including medical surveillance exams, hearing conservation testing, onsite plant clinic support, and day-to-day clinical and administrative responsibilities.

About the Job
Full-Time | 32 hours per week | Tuesday - Friday only | 4 day work week
We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable Float Medical Assistant to support multiple Health Center locations within the assigned market.
In this role, you’ll assist providers with patient care, perform clinical and administrative duties, and help ensure a seamless patient experience across various clinic settings. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable supporting different clinic teams based on operational needs.
What You’ll Do
Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
Measure and document vital signs, patient history, and clinical information
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and urine samples
Support front office and administrative clinic functions as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and workflows
Deliver concierge-level customer service and compassionate patient care
Exercise sound clinical judgment within scope of role
Travel between Trimble and Ghent locations to provide coverage and operational support, approximately two weeks per month for about 10 months out of the year.
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current BLS Certification required

One of the following qualifications:
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program with diploma/certificate and at least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience obtained through on-the-job training
Relevant military medic experience
Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills
Phlebotomy experience preferred
One year of recent experience in a medical setting with Occupational training is strongly preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered clinical environment
Flexibility and willingness to travel between assigned clinic locations
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and changing clinical environment
Reliable transportation is required
Location & Travel Requirements
This Float Medical Assistant role will support multiple clinic locations within the assigned market. Local travel between sites is required based on operational needs.
