About the Job:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Area Operations Director (AOD) to lead the performance of multiple Health Centers within a defined region. In this role, you will drive operational strategy, lead cross-functional collaboration, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care across your sites.

Location Requirement: This is a remote role with regional oversight; candidates must be based in the Salt Lake City, UT area.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Lead day-to-day operations across assigned health centers, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality service delivery

  • Partner with Area Medical Directors and Client Success leaders to drive performance, manage escalations, and optimize outcomes

  • Analyze performance data and proactively implement strategies to improve key business and clinical metrics

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards

  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, including direct oversight of Health Center staff and AAODs

  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across your region

What You’ll Bring to the Team (Minimum Qualifications):

Experience (Required):

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive management experience within the healthcare industry (onsite or primary care environment strongly preferred)

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven multi-site management experience

  • Demonstrable operations experience is required

Leadership & Business Acumen:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with solid business acumen, including budget and business plan development

  • Experience managing P&Ls up to $10M in revenues and overseeing multi-site health center operations (3–5 years preferred)

  • Strong negotiation skills in both internal and external interactions

Skills & Education:

  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and leadership skills

  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, utilizing business management software

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field is preferred

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working as a Clinic Manager

  • Professional certifications (e.g., operations management, data analysis)

  • Experience with customer data applications or CRM platforms
