About the Job:

Imagine being the person who helps build confidence in every product CareATC delivers. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll work closely with software and data teams to test applications, validate data, and identify issues before they ever reach an end user. Your role is crucial to building trust in our solutions and supporting a healthier future.

Note: Must reside in the Tulsa or Greater Tulsa, OK area for hybrid flexibility.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Testing & Execution: Execute test plans and test cases for both software applications and data pipelines. Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs from discovery through resolution using our defect tracking tools. Assist in troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and verifying bug fixes.

  • Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with QA leads, software engineers, and data engineers to understand requirements and system behavior. Maintain test documentation (test cases, data, and status reports).

  • Process Improvement: Participate in reviews of product requirements and technical documentation. Contribute ideas to improve QA processes and support our shift toward automation.

  • Post-Release Support: Support production issue investigation and post-release validation.

What You’ll Bring to the Team (Requirements):

  • Experience & Education:

    • 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, technical support, or a related field.

    • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • A solid grasp of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and common testing methodologies.

    • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

    • Familiarity with data validation and quality assurance principles.

    • Interest or experience in automation testing is a bonus.

  • Core Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and a naturally analytical, problem-solving mindset.

    • Ability to read and interpret functional specifications and technical design documents.

    • Experience using defect tracking or project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps is a plus).

    • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and bring structure to complex projects.
