About This Opportunity:
We are looking for a Medical Assistant with Limited X-ray Machine Operator (LXMO) or Limited Licensed Radiology Technologist (LLRT) experience to float within the Tulsa Market. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, outstanding patient care skills, effective communication, and concierge-level customer service.
This is a full-time, benefit-eligible opportunity in Tulsa, OK.
Hours per Week: 40
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm
The Role of the Medical Assistant with X-Ray Certification:
- Greet and welcome patients, and perform general administrative duties using company-assigned electronic medical records.
- Measure and record vital signs, collect blood and urine as needed, and keep exam rooms clean and disinfected between patients.
- Clerical responsibilities: to include registration, answering phones, scheduling, and referral management.
- Exhibit good clinical judgment within the scope of the Limited Licensed X-ray role with or without direct supervision.
- Follows all clinical, Limited-licensed x-ray scope and clerical protocols per company policy and state guidelines.
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards. Performs routine X-ray exams and procedures while following the scope of work for a limited X-ray machine operator (LXMO) or Limited Licensed Radiology Technologist (LLRT) per State regulations. Takes X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients while implementing infection control procedures for the work area. Positions patients and takes X-rays of specific parts of the patient’s body as requested by Provider) Ensures x-ray has a clear image, retaking image(s) as appropriate. Sends image to appropriate provider for review
- Maintains and documents required records in EMR, including but not limited to patient records, daily logs, and monthly/quarterly reports. Performs quantity and quality control checks to ensure X-ray unit meets standards required by rules & state regulations, and departmental policies. Complies with safety standards including using a dosimetry badge while performing x-rays.
- Cleans, maintains and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment servicing and repairs.
- Maintains and orders radiographic supplies as necessary
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) plus one of the following:

Completion of Limited License X-ray course from an accredited program and holds a license/certification for that State

Must have Limited License Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography examination in the State in which you practice.
- Paramedic
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited MA program
- Or 1 year relevant work experience or on the job training in lieu of certification or diploma
- Military trained medic
- Entry through approved CareATC Internship Program or school sponsored externship program

Experience:
- Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical setting is strongly preferred.
- Must possess a current BLS, CPR certification and current health records with the appropriate documentation for immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).
