About This Opportunity:
CareATC is currently looking for a licensed Physical Therapist that will work collaboratively with the primary care and interdisciplinary care team to treat acute or chronic musculoskeletal disorders and assist in chronic disease management through prescriptive therapeutic interventions, clinic support and ongoing education.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, benefit-eligible opportunity in Albemarle County, VA. Monday - Friday. No Nights or Weekends. This position will start around January 2, 2025.

The role of the Physical Therapist :

  • Provide virtual and on-site physical therapy using evidence based therapeutic modalities to help patients heal from acute injury or manage chronic health conditions.
  • Develop and monitor adherence to home exercise programs related to a patients musculoskeletal condition.
  • Assist patients in making lasting changes to improve their overall health using therapeutic interventions.
  • Be a facilitator to ensure patients continuity of care and serve as a conduit between the services of the health center, collaborating providers, and the community.
  • Provide education related to injury prevention, safety, ergonomics, chronic disease management through movement strategies, and the role of musculoskeletal wellness in the management of chronic conditions to patients and employers.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for early identification, treatment, and self-management of musculoskeletal conditions for prevention of unnecessary specialty and radiology referrals.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a School of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and holds a license or temporary permit to practice as a Physical Therapist from the state they are practicing in.
  • One year outpatient experience required.
  • Compact Licensure where applicable.
  • Must maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA and company policy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and appropriate customer interaction skills.
