About This Opportunity: CareATC is currently looking for a PRN Acupuncturist to provide on-site acupuncture treatment and service in accordance to state requirements ensuring all clients receive scheduled treatments. This role will work collaboratively with our primary care and interdisciplinary care teams to provide exceptional patient care and achieve optimum health in a clinical setting.

This is a PRN opportunity in Irvine, CA to cover December 9th-December 31st for up to 40 hours Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

The role of the Acupuncturist:

  • The acupuncturist performs all treatments and services in accordance with the State of California acupuncture licensing requirements

  • Utilizes acupuncture to stimulate certain points on or near the surface of the body by the insertion of needles to prevent or modify the perception of pain or to normalize physiological functions

  • May perform or prescribe the use of oriental massage, acupressure, breathing techniques, exercise, or nutrition, including the incorporation of drugless substances and herbs as dietary supplements to promote health

  • Timely documentation of patient encounters in the patient’s Electronic Medical Record

  • Participation in health center staff and CareATC provider meetings

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in providing acupuncture services to the public.

  • Multi-lingual in Vietnamese, Spanish, and Korean is an important plus.

  • Graduate of an approved school of Oriental Medicine and/or Traditional Chinese Medicine accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) with a minimum of one thousand eight hundred fifty hours of training or licensed physician trained in acupuncture.

  • Active status preferred as a Diplomate in Acupuncture of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

  • Complete at least fifteen hours of board approved continuing education (CE) each year.

  • Must hold an active and clear license in the State of California.
