About This Opportunity: We are looking for a Medical Assistant with excellent patient care skills, great communication, and concierge-level customer service to float between health centers in the Northern Utah area. Mileage is reimbursed between health centers. We have clinics in Ogden, Clearfield, Layton, North Salt Lake, and Salt Lake City.

This is a full-time float position with a guarantee of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, covering shifts as needed. Clinic Hours vary slightly.

Location: 1104 Country Hills Dr., Ogden, UT 84403

The Role of the Medical Assistant:

• Greet and Room patients.
• Obtain blood & urine samples, measure and record vital signs, maintain clean exam rooms.
• Clerical responsibilities
• Exhibit good clinical judgement within the scope of the role with or without the provider present.
• Follow all clinical and clerical protocols per company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) plus one of the following:
  • Paramedic
  • Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited MA program
  • Or 1 year relevant work experience or on the job training in lieu of certification or diploma
  • Emergency Medical Technician
  • Military trained medic
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited CNA program
  • Entry through approved CareATC Internship Program or school sponsored externship program

Experience:

• Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical setting is strongly preferred.
• Must possess a current BLS, CPR certification and current health records with the appropriate documentation for immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).
