The Transit Project Manager plays a key role in delivering successful outcomes for multiple transportation-focused clients by leading projects from planning through execution. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients and internal development teams to gather requirements, translate them into clear, actionable tasks, and support the successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of client systems. You’ll balance organization, communication, and problem-solving while building strong relationships and serving as a trusted partner within the transportation community.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with state government and other clients to support system implementation including design and delivery, development, rollout schedules, and training preparation.
  • Produce training and user guidance materials.
  • Provide client and sub-recipient training and support.
  • Work with clients to identify and manage system maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Potentially manage and lead other members of the staff to accomplish corporate goals.
  • Work with client to identify, design, and deliver a variety of standard, custom, and ad-hoc reports.
  • Work with clients and management to develop system customization tasks to meet client and corporate requirements.
  • Responsibilities will include extensive involvement in project management, client coordination, business development, and helping to define product development.
  • Work with the technical team to translate client needs to successful designs and implementations.
  • Travel up to 20% is required.

Who You Are
  • Proven track record of modal experience (transit/aviation/rail/highway safety), transportation system planning, and/or grant management experience, 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Project management experience in either business systems implementation or application development across the full project life-cycle (from scoping and process design to implementation and rollout) is preferred.
  • Experience with meeting project schedules and budgets.
  • Must have the combination of project management skills, attention to detail, and personal drive necessary to manage clients and effectively develop software and integrated solutions for the transportation industry.
  • Must have well developed communications and presentation skills.
  • Transportation planning and/or grant management experience highly desired.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Ability to productively work independently from any environment.
