IN SUMMARY...

Azalea Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Claims Specialist to provide Revenue Cycle Management/Medical Billing services for Azalea clients. Operating under the direct supervision of the Revenue Cycle Claims Specialist Team Lead, this role will be critical to retaining and growing our RCM customer base.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

  • Scrub medical claims and bill for assigned accounts
  • Review and interpret clinical documentation and medical records as it pertains to coding verification and charge capture
  • Understand and calculate industry standard KPIs and benchmarks related to accurate and timely billing and coding
  • Monitor, review and correct EDI level clearinghouse rejections for assigned accounts
  • Effectively monitor and audit billing/coding related RCM activities being performed by both domestic and overseas subcontractors as well as partner companies
  • Communicate issues to the claims leadership team as well as clients regarding missing, incomplete or inaccurate data provided by assigned clients
  • Maintains HIPAA compliance when handling patient protected health information (PHI)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING...

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of experience in medical coding and billing preferred
  • Medical Billing/Coding Program certification or diploma preferred; CPC designation is a plus
  • Excellent computer and internet skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well-developed verbal written communication skills
