The Enterprise Project Manager will serve as a critical liaison between internal departments, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the customer's strategic goals. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You Will Do...
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for large-scale Healthcare IT initiatives, including EHR/EMR implementations, system integrations, and clinical workflow enhancements across hospitals, clinics, and healthcare networks.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define and align project scope, objectives, and success criteria with clinical, operational, and regulatory goals.
- Lead change management processes to ensure that modifications to project scope, timelines, or budgets are thoroughly documented, communicated, and aligned with healthcare compliance standards.
- Direct cross-functional project teams including clinical subject matter experts, IT analysts, developers, and vendor partners.
- Ensure effective collaboration across both onsite and remote settings.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans encompassing detailed timelines, stakeholder engagement strategies, training plans, and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Serve as the primary liaison for third-party vendors, overseeing contractual deliverables, integration efforts, and compliance with healthcare-specific interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Facilitate collaboration between IT, clinical, regulatory, and revenue cycle teams to resolve implementation barriers and ensure alignment with clinical workflows and patient care standards.
- Lead formal project evaluations and lessons-learned sessions as a vehicle to celebrate team success and identify opportunities to improve.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, including CMIOs, CIOs, clinical department heads, and IT leadership, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Champion the implementation methodology, while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Willingness and ability to travel 20-50% based on project and client needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Operations or related field preferred
- PMP Certification (preferred)
- 5-10 years experience with project management (software implementation preferred)
- Prior demonstrated experience implementing EHRs, or health information technology
- Previous experience in developing workflows with documentation and processes that align with program goals and objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Aptitude in customer service/client relations and a friendly disposition
- Experience in healthcare information technology or healthcare required
- Flexibility and adaptability; must be able to seamlessly pivot to meet objectives of physicians, practice administrators, and other executives
