Project Management Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Management Assistant to join our Project Management team in Beamsville, ON. The Project Management Assistant provides hands-on support to the Project Manager and Site Coordinator in the planning, coordination, and execution of irrigation projects within the greenhouse and horticulture industry. This role supports the growing volume and complexity of both new and existing projects, ranging from small installations to large-scale commercial systems. This role requires strong attention to technical/project coordination and business/process-focused functionsand supports internal tracking, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager and Site Coordinator with day-to-day project execution
- Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of multiple projects simultaneously
- Support on-site activities as required, including occasional site visits
- Track project progress, costs, and documentation using internal ERP and tracking tools
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and schedules
- Assist with purchase order tracking, shipping coordination, and material/equipment readiness
- Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Design, Shipping, Finance, Operations, and function as a communication bridge between departments to ensure project alignment
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement and assist with implementation
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required):
- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management, Agriculture/Horticulture, or a related field a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and practical experience will be considered
- Prior experience in project coordination or project support roles
- Prior experience in irrigation, greenhouse operations, horticulture, construction, or technical systems
preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Valid driver’s license (required for work-related travel)
- Valid passport and ability to travel across the Canada–U.S. border
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Consistent, reliable performance in a dynamic environment — “right on it” mentality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
