We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team in Oberlin, Ohio. The Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in providing day-to-day tactical support across a wide range of activities including social media, events, branded materials and general project execution within the Marketing Department. This individual works under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications and collaborates with other team members to help execute campaigns and initiatives that promote AdeptAg’s brand and drive engagement.

Responsibilities:
- Manage AdeptAg’s social media channels (LinkedIn and Instagram), including scheduling posts, sourcing content, and monitoring analytics to inform future planning
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and subject matter experts to support content strategy and ensure brand voice, tone, and accuracy
- Provide general copywriting and proofreading support for social media, newsletters, Public Relations and internal communications (excluding technical/product content).
- Oversee the company clothing store operations, including employee support, vendor coordination, and brand compliance.
- Coordinate logistics for branded materials including swag, business cards, and new hire items in partnership with HR and external vendors.
- Support event planning for internal meetings and tradeshows, including hotel/dinner coordination, prep logistics, and on-site content capture at key events like Cultivate.
- Assist with photo/video editing, file organization, and maintaining the internal content library.
- Support customer success story efforts by managing intake forms, gathering content from the field, and organizing stories for internal or external use.
- Execute a variety of day-to-day marketing tasks and special projects; participate in weekly check-ins and maintain a collaborative, team-first mindset.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, event support, or administrative coordination
- Experience in a B2B environment, particularly within horticulture, agriculture, or industrial/manufacturing sectors, is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with basic photo/video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Canva, HubSpot, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proactive and adaptable, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to take initiative
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively to cross-functional teams
- Experience using social media LinkedIn and Instagram for business, including content scheduling, engagement tracking, and platform tools
